Greetings to all…
(Feb 5th, 2010)

As for the grandbaby Ayden, he has a little brother now…
Asher Reed Evett was born @ 2:47 a.m. on Feb 4th…he checked
in at 6lbs 4oz and 19 inches long. Kristen,
Chad and the baby are all doing good well. I can hardly wait to spoil
this one too…I’m getting purty good at it!
We will have pictures posted soon.
God continues to be so good to us all! We have so much to be thankful
for if we just look around each and every day. I realize that we all
face different challenges, but God is faithful to meet each and every
one. Let’s trust Him for our every need (Philippians 4:19).
Wow…the year of 2009 has already passed us by and I hope we have made
the very best of it for our Lord Jesus Christ! For He has done so much
for each and every one of us by freely giving His life for our sins. I’m
not one for making “New Year’s Resolutions”, however, I am for making
new commitments! Perhaps there are several things that we all could make
a fresh commitment to, but none more important than giving our all to
Christ in 2010.
Some current news on Montez…she has made tremendous improvement and is
doing very well…we believe due to so many prayers from God’s people!
Please continue to pray for her and feel free to contact Janice or J.R.
for any updates.
Of course, J.R. is still his “ole bossy self”! I just love
to kid and go on with him…and he also loves to dish it out! Yall just
keep on praying daily that God will keep on blessing him to be able to
drop in and sing with us as much as he feels like doing. We all know how
much of a blessing he is when he grabs that microphone!
Jay Isaac has one more semester @ SMJ college after the holidays and
then he’ll be coming back home and transferring to Clemson to finish out
the next two years. I know he’ll be glad to get through it all but,
actually I’m hoping it doesn’t go quite as fast as the first 2 years…time
is moving too fast!
Mike, Jill, Janice and myself are doing fine. We all went to Pigeon
Forge the weekend of the 18th-20th for a little
rest and relaxation…and that it was! Janice, Jay Isaac and
I went up Thursday night before all of the ice and snow hit and made it
fine across the mountain. However, Mike and Jill and the kids didn’t get
to leave until Friday and they had to go “around the world” to get there
because the route across the mountain was closed. So, they got there
“safely” Friday evening about time the snow arrived and we all had a
great evening meal at the Red Lobster and watched it snow for a good
hour or so.
I mean the flakes were as huge, fluffy and beautiful!
We made some pictures that I’ll be updating on the photo tab
soon…be sure to check’em out when you get a chance.
As for Levi and Taylor…they are growing up (way to fast)
and doing their thing with a lot of activities going on at school etc.
Levi is about to pass me up where I’ll soon have to start looking up at
him! And Taylor…she is a little doll! I’m sure she can
hardly wait to get back in the bus in her cozy little “bunk house”.
We had a tremendous year of ministry through singing and testimony and I
feel like we were privileged to be a part of many souls that were saved,
revived and blessed throughout the year of 2009. We have started back up
and are looking forward to a great year for the ministry of the Singing
Christians in 2010. We expect God to do some tremendous work through us
this year as long as we will continue to be the
clay in His Hands!
Let’s Continue to Win in 2010!
‘til next time,
Chris
Check out our appearance page and come be with us when you can and
experience the mighty power of God!
Thanks for your prayers and support and being a part of the ministry of
the Singing Christians!
On business for the King,
